My wife and I went to 3 dentists in my area.  All use this company to help patients pay their dental bill.  Getting approved was easy and online.  I wont say who it is because I am not paid to endorse them.   I once used the dental insurance program while on active duty but once retired, I terminated it because it was too costly and very few dentists in my area took it.   But, my wife had the work done and it isnt costing me an arm and leg.  Comparing dental coding and billing to what I do is like comparing an Arabian stallion to a merry go round horse.  I wont even try to code and bill dental.

Danni,

I dont know squat about dental coding or dental billing.  I do know that instead of CPT, they use CDT.

My wife needed dental work.  We dont have dental insurance.  The practice we went to had us contact a company that pays for dental work.  It is basically a loan. You are given a credit line that is only used for dental care.  They pay the doctor.  Every month, I go online and make my monthly payments ($46 per month).

Im sure that if I miss my payments, I can expect to have a visit from Two Fingers Sol, Fat Tony, or jackie donuts.  They will do teeth extractions for free.

1.  Dental uses different codes.

2.  You use different forms.

Most patients dont have insurance.  There are companies that provide loans for dental work. The loan company pays the dentist.  The patient pays the loan company.  If the patient doesnt pay, the loan company may use a very aggressive debt collection company.

This is using simple logic because I dont know dental coding or dental billing.  My impression is that you better be the best and better than whomever the dentist is using now.
