I would like your opinion or proof.  I have been asked to change the billing provider on claims because the physician who saw the patient was not credentialed with the patients insurance at the time of service.  To me that is fraud!  If the physician is not a contracted locum tenum you must bill under the treating physician, correct??  If I am incorrect please help me understand.

END THE DEBATE

go back to whom you are debating with.  Have the SHOW YOU the documentation that supprt their side of the debate. No documentation, what they say cant be proven.  If there is NO documentation, it doesnt exist,
