I used to be a customer at their Tal and Fat store.  Oh never mind, that was Thornton Mellon.

The big, fat MOTTO!

Don't make up an answer or, get flustered! Professionalism is expected even under circumstances that are tricky, and your reaction and response will speak louder than a phony answer, or the wrong answer.

My best advice, is to make sure you carefully listen to the question, if you don't know the answer, take a short breath and gather your thoughts. Then respond in a professional manner, without being nervous: "I am sorry, but I have never heard of this specific form until just now. I will make sure to research it as soon as I get home."

Honesty is always your best policy

if you doctor asked me about this form, I would also reply, what the heck is that?  That doesnt make me sound stupid.

I've had some doctors ask me the wierdest things at times.  One doctor told me to find him the rule that all he could charge is the Medicare allowable.  I told him the rule doesnt exist.  He said, he attended a conference and was told by a speaker who was a fellow physician that all a physician can charge is the Medicare allowable.  I asked: did you ask him for the rule?  Nope, he didn't.  I replied there is no such rule.

But, do your best to be honest.

It's always better to be thought of as a fool then proven as one.

Ary, congrats on meeting with a potential client. After all, that's what it is all about. I am curious, what is it that "terrifies" you about the meeting?  Is it because you are still relatively new to this field? Did you get your training from a vocational training program or on the job?
