The big, fat MOTTO!

Great info! This is one lesson I recall from my administrative medical assisting classes a decade ago, since medical assistants are trained to do front and back office (clinical) duties.

you also have to factor in whether it is an individual policy v/s group plan or a cobra plan as well.

Hahahaha! I dutifully started to add people, making sure I had the bus driver included (clever me!). When I came to the question, you threw me for a loop. I don't know... may be 84!

YOu're a bus driver.  You have 22 people on your bus. AT the first stop, 6 get off and 8 get on.  AT the next stop, 3 get off and 10 get on. Next, 9 get off and 2 get on. Next, 3 get on and 3 get off.  The bus reaches the end of the route.
Question:  Bet you thought I was going to ask how many people are on the bus, but Im not.  Heres your question:  How old is the bus driver.

You are in a house with 4 sides.  When you look out the window, you are facing south.  You look out another window, you are facing south. You look out another window. Again, you are facing south.  You look out the last window.  You are fcing south and you see a bear walk by.  What kind of bear is it?

History question:  How many of each animal did Moses put on the Ark?

Last:  Spell Host
Spell Most
Spell ghost
What do you put in  toaster?

Spot is covered under both policies offered as a a benefit of employment.  Spots claim was denied for no authorization and timely filing.  Spots so mad, she's having kittens.  Smiley

John is correct.  When both have the same birthday, the parent who has had the coverage the longest is the primary.  This can be found in most State COB Laws and individual policy manuals.

Yes, they are married.

No divorce

Both Sally and Spot live at home with Mom and Dad

Are they married? Who has custody of the child if they are divorced?

If they are married birth dates the same (time of birth doesn't matter) John's would be primary since he has had it the longest.

OK Campers,

I am sure many of you know about Coordination of benefits, so here is a training question:

John and Jane Smith, have a child, Sally and a cat named Spot.  Both John and Jane have health insurance through their employers.  Sally is covered on boh policies,  Both John and Jane have the same birth day, June 6th. Jane was born at 12:01am and John at 5am.   John has had his health insurance since March 23, 1974,  Jane since January 12, 2002.  Whose health insurance would be considered primary and why?  Note: THis is not a question from any billing test.  I just came up with it as a training tool here. John and Jane do not exist outside this forum.

Lets hear your answers.
